i3.0 Strategic Partnership for Innovation in the Local Community

In 2023, marking the 20th anniversary of the National Foundation's work, a new innovation for social development investment in Croatia was launched through i3.0 Strategic Partnerships for Community Innovation, within the framework of the "Community Potentials" Program.

This innovation by the National Foundation, based on co-management and joint action between strategic partners and the National Foundation, introduced a new way of supporting social (and economic) development in the Republic of Croatia and the Euro-Mediterranean. It represents the third innovation in supporting organized civil society and the development of society as a whole. Hence the name i3.0, which stands for the third version (3.0) of the National Foundation's social innovation. The first innovation, launched in 2004, was in the form of institutional support for the stabilization and/or development of associations, while the second innovation, in 2015, introduced during the European Year of Development and marking the 10th anniversary of the National Foundation's work, was realized through the Thematic Fund "Democratization and Civil Society Development 2.0."

The "Community Potentials" Program aims to contribute to the further development of society and the potential of local communities through the actions of change makers within the involved communities.

The Trokut Šibenik New Technologies Incubator is the local partner of strategic partners from the international Relatomics Foundation for the field of "New Knowledge Models for Social Development in Croatia and the Euro-Mediterranean."

​

In its first year of implementation, the program will be carried out in 8 cities and 10 high schools across 3 counties (LIST), and over 100 young people and seniors (60+) will be included. These change makers in their communities will develop initiatives and activities that will contribute to realizing the potential of the involved cities.
